What we collect

We collect the information you provide when using InsurAMS:

Account information: your name, email address, and password
Agency information: agency name, phone number, and address
Business data: clients, policies, tasks, activities, and certificates of insurance you create
Documents: files you upload (PDFs, images, spreadsheets)
Team members: names and emails of people you invite to your agency

We do not sell your data. We do not use your client or policy data for advertising or any purpose other than operating InsurAMS for your account.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to power the InsurAMS application: displaying your dashboard, generating certificates, sending renewal reminders, and other features you use. We do not track you across other websites.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. We also use a third-party analytics service to understand how the product is used (e.g., which pages are visited, which features are popular). This data is linked to your account with internal identifiers but is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate InsurAMS. These providers only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function:

Cloud hosting: application and database hosting in the United States
File storage: secure storage for documents you upload
Email delivery: sending password resets, renewal reminders, and team invites
Payment processing: handling subscription billing (when active)
Analytics: product usage data to improve the service

We do not share your client, policy, or document data with any of these providers beyond what is required to deliver the service.

InsurAMS also offers an API that lets you connect third-party tools (e.g., Zapier). If you create an API key and authorize an external service, that service may access your data according to the permissions you grant. You are responsible for managing your API keys and the services you connect.

Your data is yours

You can export all your client and policy data to CSV at any time from within the app. If you close your account, we will delete all your data within 30 days of receiving your request.

Security

All connections are encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text. Your data is hosted on SOC 2-compliant infrastructure in the United States. We use security headers, rate limiting, and input validation to protect against common attacks.

Data breach notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users by email in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay.

Data isolation

Each agency's data is logically isolated. Your clients, policies, documents, and tasks are only accessible to members of your agency. No other user or agency can view your data, except as needed by InsurAMS to operate and support the service.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below.

Children

InsurAMS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of InsurAMS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
